Very seldom that I take my camera whenever we go for dinner. These shots were all taken using my Nikon DSLR with Nikkor 105 prime lens.
Love the output. Guess I have to bring my camera more often.
Location: Lancaster Hotel, Forbeswood, High Street
With the lady as an architect, then construction is definitely part of the shoot. That was the agreement with Allyson and her fiance, Nelson, a banker. The beginning of the shoot was dedicated to doing golf driving on top of the Lancaster Hotel. The scorching noontime sun did not stop us. After which, formal shots within the construction site (with a hardhat mind you
). Even the construction workers willingly pose with the couple.
We then move to their Forbeswood condominium and High Street to take more photographs. The shoot lasted from morning till dusk.
We are definitely proud with the series of photographs and we can’t wait for the wedding this July.

So many photographs and the couple wants the very best compiled. So here’s the 60-page hardbound wedding ArtBook.
My full night picture taking was ruined the other day by Santi (the storm). So I have to do it tonight at a very tight schedule since I will still be covering the more important Halloween party of the kids.
So here are few photographs of the mesmerizing evening. Night or day the place is truly magical.

The flight was freaking early and we were half-awake when we reached the Domestic Airport. Immediately, we checked in Zest Air and by 7am we were on board a turbo prop with less than 50 passengers on board. Barely thirty minutes after Marinduque beckoned us.
From there we were met by a smiling lass named Marie. She is one of the 100 administrative staffs of Bellarocca and started to fire away with facts and figures of Marinduque (which I learned came from a story between two lovers Marina and Duque) and Bellarocca (beatiful rock) formerly known as Elefante Island. Impress with her knowledge, we didn’t realize that we were already at the port that will bring us to Bellarocca proper. From afar, viewable from the port, was the Santorini inspired architecture. It is like being transported to Greece. Less than 10 minute boat ride, the welcoming committee, general manager, Ramon Martinez, and all the staff, singing a folk song, welcomed us. Leis were given to us and a golf cart was ready to bring us to the Pavilion. We just learned from the GM that there are only 12 guests in the island and 7 of them were us. Our designated golfcart driver was Tricia, their Food and Beverage Manager. She is likewise just barely 6 months on the job and described how she fell in love with the island. She also told us that we can call her anytime in case we need anything prepared — talk about true customer service. In the pavilion, welcome drinks were given. From there, we were told by the GM that there will be cocktails sponsored by him around 630pm.
After the usual pleasantries, we were whisked to our Villa, one of the only six in the island. Our’s is named Xanadu. The villa was a sight to behold. The architecture is Mediterranean inspired and the amenities were truly exceptional –
- flat screen LCD TV (3 units)
- sound surround system (in each room)
- wall mounted DVD player
- wall-mounted aircondition in ALL rooms
- iPOD dock
- our own jacuzzi and infinity pool – even lighted at night
- kitchen (with oven/refrigerator and coffeemaker)
- bathtub in all bathrooms
- so on and so forth
Nothing is left to chance. The entire place was well though off. We could have brought Gio and Paulo’s yayas and they will have their room and bath…. imagine.
Enough with this story. Here are photographs that will transport you to this place.
It’s just our first day, and so far so good.
Here is an ArtBook done for the couple’s 25th Wedding Anniversary… renewal of vows.
This is the wedding that was supposed to be held during Typhoon Ondoy. Finally, after two weeks it pushed thru and we had a grand time in Subic. The nice thing about a prenup in Subic are the numerous things to do. We went to Tree Top for adventure, the lake for some picnic shots, the Zoobic for some safari shots and Anvaya Cove for the mandatory beach shots. It took us the entire day to finish the shoot but it was well worth it.
Here are some samples from the hundred photographs we took.
Weddings are really special. During this time you will see relatives and friends enjoying the event. At times, weddings are just like reunions… catching up with long lost friends. Now everything becomes extra special during the couple’s 25th wedding anniversary. Though years might have added up, the feeling of walking down the aisle, exchanging vows, cutting the cake seem to be like the first time. The Zapata’s wedding celebration is an intimate gathering of family and friends. Everybody had a grand time relishing the moments of years passed and celebrating new years yet to happen.
