JONATHAN & MARY ANNE WEDDING

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Preparation: Peninsula Manila
Church: Santuario de San Antonio
Reception: Rigodon Ballroom, Peninsula Manila
Coordinator: Getting Married by Kutchie Zaldarriaga

It was in 2003 when Mary Anne, a colleague in the credit card industry, that I should cover her wedding. I think she learned that I am a photographer and have been impressed with my photographs (…. i hope). Mary Anne is a go-getter and a true corporate person… truly hardworking and I can’t imagine were she will put the dating part in her busy schedule. Every time that we see each other she keeps on reminding me about my commitment and being a true friend I just nod but I don’t even know when will it be. Jokingly, I always tell her that it should be soon before my hand starts shaking.

Years passed then suddenly in late 2007, Mary Anne called me for an appointment. There I met Jonathan her fiance. This was the first time I met Jonathan and I learned about their story. They were gradeschool mates in San Agustin. Separated when Jonathan went to the US and just suddenly had the chance to meet again. Everything fell into place and now planning for their forthcoming wedding.

Now, here we are at the much awaited wedding. I tell you it is worth all the wait.

Preparation: Diamond Hotel
Church: San Agustin
Reception: Puerta Real Gardens
Designer (Gown): Cecilio Abad
Make up: Toto Bagamasbad
Coordinator: DNDC Events

One more time, here we are in a wedding preparation in a hotel located in downtown Manila. Aside from the on-site video we have to show later in the day, I committed to showcase my second same day edit (SDE) photomotion video. As I pull out my D700 from my pelican bag, I started pressing the shutter and it made its ubiquitous continuous clicking sound. As expected, almost all necks crane to my side as if asking who in the hell has plans to waste its precious DSLR. In one burst, the camera pressed its first one hundred shots. Then its next, one hundred, then another hundred. In no time, I am filling three sets of two gigabytes compact flashes.

In this 2nd photomotion video, you will witness several firsts. A 360 degree video shoot, a considerable share of glide and track, our own version of “rollers” amplifier done in stop motion style and a time lapse of dusk purely made with a DSLR.

It is very obvious that we want to punish ourselves by doing this. We are among the very first in the world doing wedding photomotion and showing it onsite. Chester and Dette’s guests definitely had a grand time viewing it. We hope that you have a grand time as well.

Enjoy all the pictures stitched together accompanied by Ben Lee’s “Love Me Like The World Is Ending”.
